Myriad inspires everyday people to form new church communities

and make disciples.

CCX has recently announced a significant pivot in its strategy and structure. And as part of this change, Myriad is also entering a new chapter and will become a separate charity. This decision comes in response to the changes happening at CCX. But more than anything, it’s a response to a fresh and compelling sense of God’s call, that he has so much more to do through Myriad.

At Myriad, we carry a vision that the Holy Spirit is reviving and renewing the Church as a disciple-making, church-planting movement. Our specific call is to inspire and equip everyday people to form new church communities and make new disciples.

We are grateful to God for birthing Myriad within CCX and the Church of England and we will continue to serve here and to collaborate with CCX. Myriad serves across denominations, networks, and nations. Already, God has used us to train over 100 teams and hundreds of leaders through 12 Myriad Hubs. Looking ahead, more than 20 locations are currently exploring partnerships to establish a hub in the next 12 months.

"Across the UK, God is calling everyday people to start new worshipping communities which reach new people in new and renewed ways. It has been great to see Myriad step into this space, equipping lay leaders to follow God's call on their lives to plant these new Christian communities. Having started under the umbrella of CCX, Myriad is now forming its own charity, the Myriad Collective. This is an exciting example of multiplication, which will no doubt multiply the impact of this crucial ministry. I want to offer every prayer and blessing for the Myriad Collective in this next exciting season."

Rt Revd Ric Thorpe, Bishop of Islington

Myriad has enabled learning for leaders and others involved in Garden Church BMO in the Diocese of Norwich. There has been a real commitment to mentoring and walking with lay leaders over a period of time, with an enabling approach focused on context. The focus on developing people to develop others makes this a sustainable model with an ethos of listening and adapting to what the Spirit is saying to the churches involved. The resources are inspiring and simple to use and it's good to have attention focused on mission and action, not only theory.

Rt Revd Jane Steen, Bishop of Lynn

Myriad has been a great encouragement to The Garden Network and the Diocese as a whole.  Normalising what will surely be a key part of future ministry, walking alongside our lay leaders and providing tools to help in every context has been exactly what is needed.

Revd Dave Lloyd, Mission Development Officer Diocese of Norwich

Myriad is a timely and strategic investment into the future of the Church in this country. Our engagement with running a Myriad hub has produced some of the most inspiring stories of church planting initiatives that I have ever known. This has not been based on the headline-grabbing large investments that so often get the attention, but on encouraging, developing, releasing, and supporting the gifts of lay leaders already present in every congregation.
